Frequently asked questions
The questions families ask us most. Can’t find yours? Ask us on WhatsApp.
Is the food vegetarian only?
Yes. The campus kitchen is vegetarian only, in keeping with the temple-foot setting. Please check with us for the party hall.
Can we bring our own caterer?
Please ask us before you fix a caterer. We will tell you the kitchen rules and what is allowed for your date.
Can we bring our own decorator?
Talk to us about your decoration plan. We can suggest decorators who know the halls, and tell you the rules for setting up and clearing.
Is alcohol allowed?
Please check our policy with us when you book.
How much advance do we pay to book a date?
An advance blocks your date. We confirm the amount and the balance schedule when you book.
What if we need to cancel or change the date?
Call us as early as you can. Cancellation and date-change terms are given in writing when you book.
Is there parking for guests?
Yes. The campus has its own parking for about 100 cars and 200 two-wheelers, shared by the three halls.
Are there rooms for the families to stay?
Yes. Valliamman Mahal has about 10 rooms (2 with AC) and Deivanai Mahal has about 9 rooms on the ground floor. They come with the hall booking.
How do guests reach the hall?
We are at the foot of Marudhamalai hill, about 5 km from Vadavalli bus stand and 12 km from Gandhipuram. Town buses to Marudhamalai stop nearby. See the How to reach page for directions.
Are there enough restrooms?
Each hall has its own restrooms for guests. Ask us for the details for your hall.
Is it easy for elders and wheelchair users?
Deivanai Mahal has a lift to the first-floor dining hall. Tell us who is coming and we will suggest the easiest hall and arrangements.
